Safeguarding Workshop

A hands-on 2.5 hour workshop designed for organisations working with vulnerable adults.

Course content covers the essentials of safeguarding, to either refresh previously learned knowledge or introduce the topic to new staff and/or volunteers:

• Defining safeguarding
• Understand your responsibilities
• Know what’s needed as an organisation – policies: what they say and where to find them
• What and who is the DSL
• Define abuse and list 4 main areas of abuse
• Identify vulnerable groups of people
• Know what to do if dealing with a disclosure or
