This is a short introductory course on ‘Equality, Diversity and Inclusion’.
The course aims to develop best practices around EDI in the workplace.
The learning takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. The course is available for individuals to attend or can be run as a workshop for up to 10 delegates.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will:
- Define what is meant by the terms Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
- State the difference between Equality and Equity.
- State the nine (9) protected characteristics covered by the Equality Act 2010.
- Understand the types of discrimination outlined in the Equality Act (2010).
- Recognise the different biases.
- Outline ways to manage our own personal biases and behaviour.
- Outline ways to promote EDI in the workplace.
